        Black body imagining, writing, (re)reading by Sandra Jackson, Fassil Demissie & Michele Goodwin – Unisa Press. Introduction. This book is an outgrowth of an international conference, ‘The Black Body: Imagining, Writing, and Re(Reading)’, held at DePaul University in the spring of In Coates’ writing of the National Book Award Winner Between the World and Me, he does not hold back on showing his anger at the livelihood of a black man in America, highlighting the dangers and stresses he has personally faced as one in the mass of people victimised in anger percolates each sentence in his letter addressed to his son Samori.
